It would be impossible to draw the bow back with an arrow that small, the arrow needs to be longer so that it can be drawn back and rest on the side of the bow (otherwise the arrow cannot be accurately shot, and would kind of just fly in a random direction forward), the thickness of the shaft as well as the materials determine how durable it is, a bow with a lot of poundage will break an arrow that cannot withstand the transfer of force on it, the nock holds the arrow and keeps it attached to the string during drawing and firing.
As for realism...well there wasn't much of it so sorry about that *wink* but if I need to find a way how to justify the way it looks~ *Its a magical arrow summoned from the persons heart, when pulled in bow it stretches longer while its thin it does not break, it being thin gives it advantage in the air resistance as it shoots out like a needle and pierces its target~ or something along those lines XD
In short, jieh, sorry I don't know much about archer but next time I'll draw a archer I'll try to be more realistic, I think that I was just very tired when I did the arrow part.
